About This Blog

So why does Parking Full Time do pizza reviews?  Well, after a full day on the trail with nothing but granola and water, few things taste better than a fresh, piping hot pizza.  You'll notice this blog is much younger and smaller than my hiking blog: I have been writing up hikes since 1997, but I have only been rating pizzas for about a decade.  While I make no guarantee the information (especially the price) in a review is accurate, it was accurate at the time I wrote the review to the best of my knowledge.  The opinions expressed in this blog are solely my own, and different people have different tastes and preferences.  I do not receive any compensation for writing a review.

I score each pizza on my 7 criteria, 80 point rating system.  The 7 criteria are divided into 2 categories: the micro (individual parts: crust, sauce, cheese, toppings) and the macro (overall criteria: appearance/atmosphere/service, value, taste).  Each criteria is worth 10 points except for taste, which is worth 20.  This has the effect of double-weighting taste, the most important thing.  Add up the points from each criteria and you get the Final Judgment score out of 80.

The Final Judgment scores can be interpreted as follows:

70-80: YUM!!!!!!!!! (some of the best pizza I have ever had)
60-69: Yum! (very good; just shy of the best)
50-59: I'd eat that again (good, but could be better; Papa John's scores here)
40-49: I could eat that again (mediocre; Pizza Hut scores here)
Below 40: I don't want to eat that regularly (Little Caesars scores here)

About Parking Full Time

Parking Full Time is a personal faith-based project that seeks to display the glory of God's creation by visiting every state park, national park, and national forest in the USA's contiguous 48 states.  I do not, have never, and will never receive any monetary compensation for any work done for or produced by this project.  In return for my thousands of hours on the trail and in front of the computer, all I ask is the opportunity to declare to you Jesus the Christ, the Creator and Saviour of this world.
